Teacher & Expert Academy · Stage 3 of 5
Quick answer
Get paid to teach online by offering paid 1:1 lessons or small-group sessions with clear pricing and an easy way to book and pay. Your first paying students usually come from your existing network and the platforms where learners already search for your subject.
Key takeaways
Everything you need for the first revenue stage, strongest first.
Rates depend on subject, level, and your experience. Set a rate that reflects the value and outcome for the learner, and raise it as you build reviews and demand. Charging from the start signals quality.
Tell your existing network exactly what you teach and who it helps, offer a clear paid lesson, and make booking simple. Your first student is usually someone who already knows you or was referred by them.
A short free consultation to confirm fit can help, but charge for the teaching itself. Free full lessons tend to attract students who do not convert to paying ones.
