Every fitness creator gets the same message: a 20-second video of someone's squat with "is my form okay?" You can answer in a comment, or you can sell a 15-minute live form check, where you can ask for another angle, cue the fix, and watch them do it right before the call ends.
This guide is about that one product: the short, paid, live form check. What to sell, how the client should set up their phone, where your coaching stops, what to charge, and how to get it from your TikTok and Instagram to a booking.
The Short Answer
Fitness creators sell live form checks as a short paid video call: the client books a 15-minute slot, pays by card, lists the lift and any injuries at booking, and sets their phone at a side angle so the coach can cue the movement in real time. Price it as a single session and offer a 30-minute program review or a 4-week check-in pack after.
Your DMs are already asking for form checks.
Sell a 15-minute live form check from your bio. Booking, video, and card payment in one link. You keep 90% on the free plan.
Why a Live Form Check Beats a DM'd Video
- You can ask for another angle. A recorded clip shows one view, often the wrong one.
- You cue in real time. "Push your knees out, now again" works better live than in a paragraph.
- You see the fix. The client leaves having done the corrected rep while you watched, not with a list to try alone.
- It is paid. Answering form questions in DMs takes the same time and earns nothing.
What to Sell
| Session | Length | What the client gets | Suggested starting price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Live form check | 15 min | One lift reviewed from two angles, cues, and the corrected reps | $25 to $45 |
| Program review | 30 min | Their current program checked against their goal, with changes | $50 to $90 |
| 4-week check-in pack | 4 x 15 min | Weekly form checks on the lifts they are working on | $80 to $150 |
Keep the form check narrow: one lift per call. A client who wants three lifts reviewed can book the program review or the pack.
Do not make your first session free. On Talkspresso, of the providers with a free session who got booked this year, 1 in 15 earned any money. Of the providers with only paid sessions who got booked, all 6 were paid.
How the Client Sets Up
Put these instructions in the session description, so clients read them before they book and arrive ready:
- Phone at hip height, about 8 to 10 feet away, so you can see the whole body and the bar or weight.
- Side angle first, then a 45-degree angle from the front. Have them move the phone when you ask.
- Good light in front of them, not a bright window behind them.
- Light weight only. Warm-up sets or a light working set they could do several more reps with. No max attempts or sets to failure on camera, and safety pins or a spotter for squats and bench press.
- Clothing you can see joints in. Fitted enough that you can see knees, hips, and the spine.
Where Your Coaching Stops
A form check is technique coaching. It is not a diagnosis.
- Ask about injuries at booking. A required question: "Do you have any current pain or injuries, or any you are recovering from?" If a client reports a current injury or is in physical therapy, skip the lifts that involve it until their provider clears them.
- Ask them to confirm the scope. A required yes/no question: "I understand this is technique coaching, not medical advice, and I train at my own risk."
- Pain means refer out. If a client has pain during a movement, stop that movement and tell them to see a doctor or a physical therapist before they continue. Do not coach through pain.
- Know when to end the call. Sharp pain, numbness, tingling, dizziness, chest pain, or shortness of breath means stop the session. For chest pain or fainting, tell them to call emergency services now, or call the emergency number for their area yourself.
- Do not diagnose. "I can't tell you what is causing that, so get it checked by a doctor or physical therapist before you load it again" is fine. "That's your hip" or "you have a labral tear" is not your call.
- Write it in your description. "Form checks are technique coaching, not medical advice. If you have pain, see a doctor or physical therapist first."

From TikTok and Instagram to a Booking
- The stitch prompt. "Stitch me your squat and I will tell you one fix." Answer a few publicly, then: "Want it live? 15-minute form check, link in bio."
- Pin the video that names the offer and the price.
- Reply to form-check DMs with the link. One helpful cue back, then the link.
- Share it in your first week. On Talkspresso, 20 of the 38 real bookings in 2026 came within 7 days of the creator signing up. Bookings that came more than 90 days after signup: 5 all year, none of them paid.
Set Up Your Booking Link
On Talkspresso:

- Add your intake questions: the lift, the goal, and the required injury question.
- Connect your calendar and set your weekly hours.
- Set up Talkspresso Payments, powered by PayPal. Priced sessions cannot be booked until this is done, so finish it before you share the link.
