When do I get paid?
Updated November 2026
When your client pays. With Talkspresso Payments set up, the money lands in your PayPal Business account at checkout, when the client books, before the call happens. Talkspresso's fee (10% on the Free plan, 0% on Pro) is taken at the same moment. PayPal's processing fee applies on both plans.
Steps
- Open talkspresso.com/payments and press Set up Talkspresso Payments. PayPal runs this part on its own site. If you already have a PayPal Business account it is quick. If not, PayPal asks you to open one, with your business type, address and tax ID. You can stop and come back.
- Once it is set up, each paid booking goes to that PayPal Business account when the client pays.
- To see each payment, open talkspresso.com/payments. Every payment shows what the person paid, the fees, what is yours, and where it is.
- Moving money from PayPal to your bank is done in your PayPal account.
Payout email: a different job
The Payments page also has a Payout email row. That is the email on your PayPal account, and we use it to send you money that is already waiting for you, on our payout schedule. A payout email on its own does not open paid calls. To take paid calls, you need Talkspresso Payments.
